When trials and tribulations come, as children of the Most High God, we can take courage; we can be confident, and we can have perfect peace. Why? Because perfect peace doesn’t come from the world. Courage doesn’t come from the world and neither does confidence. These things come from a relationship with Almighty God. We can have hope in challenging times because God has promised us victory. As long as we stay in faith, as long as we put our trust and hope in God, we will stay in victory.
No matter what you are facing today, remember, faith pleases God and opens the door for His supernatural favor, strength and wisdom. Don’t settle for defeat because you are preprogrammed for victory. Choose to thank Him for what He is doing in your life and for the victory that is on the way. Be strong, be bold and take courage today because God has overcome the world!

After commenting on a post about a young girl taking pills to possibly kill herself, I thought it was important to have a post about praying for those who might attempt to kill themselves now, tomorrow, next weekend, or even further in time. Please, if you see this, reblog and say a quick prayer for all of those who are contemplating suicide. Even if you aren’t religious in any way, just think about them. They matter, too.
(I received this ask but accidentally sent response privately instead of publicly posting )…
Who my children desire sexually is really none of my business, that’s between them and their confessor. Being a person with same sex attraction is really hard, but so is being a person.
A person with same sex attraction is not evil, is not an abomination, but just a human being. Temptation is a part of christian faith! I myself have suffered sexual temptation and as a person who must remain celibate for now, (its all sorts of complicated) still suffers from it.
My kids are beautiful, wonderful people. The objects of there arousal or affection makes no difference to me. I’m their mom and no matter what their temptations, sins or sufferings are, there is always a home in my heart, and a place with home cooked meal at the table for them. I’ll always love them.
There will be a time that I will have to explain my own sins to them. As a parent I want them to do their best regardless of who they are attracted too, but lets face it though, they’re human beings. If they experience a dark period of sin much like what I went through I will never stop loving them. I will always be patient with them, always praying and loving them no matter how wounded their soul becomes.
There are several Catholic men\women on tumblr who are attracted to the same sex, and if any of my kids were half as devout and wonderful as they are I would be overjoyed! It is extremely inspiring to see Catholics with same sex attraction devoted to the faith! They are heroes of the faith! The world tells us we should give into our pleasures, and live for ourselves and this earthly life alone. We should support our fellow Christian who does their very best, not condemn them for their temptations or sins. People who suffer from same sex attraction still are born to bring glory to God, no matter how many times they may fail (like everyone else), but they need support and care for their souls by others around them.
I will say also that never would I ever encourage any person to sin. Not in words, action, or even silence. To encourage another person to sin is an absolute act of hate. We are called to love, and in love we tend the conditions of other’s souls. With love you don’t have to approve of the life they live, just love that they are living.
So I guess nothing would happen, nothing in regards to change in how I treat them or love them. It will always feel the same and treat them the same :)
